28th May
Diving this month has been full of surprises, we started the month with pretty good viz, then 2 weeks ago we had some very big ground sea which was great for the surfers but no good for us as it stirred things up a lot, and we dived the Obdam in some of the worst viz we have ever dived in here (about 2m !!) Then this weekend things had settled a bit and we dived the Syracusa on friday and the visibility was an accepable 5-7m, great I thaught things can only get better, then on the Sunday we diver U 1021 in 53m on a high water and to everyons amazment the viz was 30-35m.everyone who dived was delighted................phew !! On Friday afternoon we took part in the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Falklands war ( was it really that long ago ).  HMS Exeter visited the bay for a couple of days so  a procession was arranged. We were sponsered by "Skinners " brewery who kindly donated 154 pints of beer !!!. so we dressed the boat in bunting and flags and paraded with the rest of the fleet across the bay setting off flares and drinking beer...............a great day for the harbour...............

12th March 2007
"Atlantic Diver" has been sold,!!!!  she will stay in Newquay as a fishing charter vessel and I wish her new owner all the best. We have bought a 10m Blyth Catamaran which has a huge deck area and an "Island" wheelhoue, so you can walk all round her. She is fited with the latest IVECO engines and is capable of 30 knots, and will criuse at 20 !! This will make a lot of difference to all you deep "tekkies" who insist on going to the offshore wrecks........... I am planning a large kitting up bench and there is a side door to allow easy access for entry. the wheelhouse is fitted witht he latest Raymarine electronics and the galley has the usual cooker sink etc but with  the addition of a microwave.This new cat will accomodate 12 divers with ease and comfort and I look forward to welcoming you aboard...........

3rd April;
I picked up the new "Atlantic Diver" Last Tuesday,and as soon as I left Hayling Island I answered a Mayday call from a sinking fishing boat which was 3 miles away, with the speed now available I was there within 5 minutes, just in time to see the fishermen having fixed the problem and having pumps running.............Then then phone rang........it was the salvage team from the Napoli, the  container ship in lyme bay which is currently being salvaged, could I help with diver transfer from Torquay for a couple of weeks................sure In said........so here  am............feryying divers back and forth from the wreck, have a look in the gallery section to see some pics.

4th April 2007.

Today I was commisioned to help clean up the beaches around Sidmouth, with the help of the crew from the Terramare and the rib "Defiant" we cleaned up about 70 large bags of debris from the wreck of the "Napoli", which included amongst other items hundreds of bottles of shampoo..............."Pantene Pro V " to be exact !!, so if your a bit smelly contact me for a free bottle........have a look at the Gallery section to see pics of the boat loaded with "junk"............

23.1.07 King Harry Ferry
About 8 years ago I found the wreck of an old King Harry Ferry lying in about 40m of water3 miles off St Agnes. I recently contacted the King Harry Ferry co and told them about the wreck. They were very interested and after meeting with them I presented them with a porthole from the wreck which now hangs in their office overlooking the KHF.
